Had 2 weeks to go to outpatient rehab, be released from home health, so I could get to some weight bearing equipment under my belt, and I get my normal range of motion from my normal aide, and we have a loud snap!!! breaking my femur in my right leg, setting my recovery back another 3 months! I sat in the hospital for a week, and a half, with a bunch of nurses who knew nothing of spinal injuries, or bowel programs, or pressure relief for that matter, just to be released and sent home for the bone to heal on its own…….transferring is SSOO much better with a broken leg!! FMySCI!!

FMySCI… I am scheduled for my third back surgery in 5 years next month. Why cant they make it right once and for all, I am sick of it! I am in my sisters wedding in September I am going to look extra sexy with a back brace under my bridesmaid dress.

I’m tired of making plans and then having to break them last minute because my stomach hurts and I might have to poo but then it turns out to just be gas or my period coming on! The doctors have no answers or solutions for me… they are so clueless, what did they do in medical school for all those years if they can’t even help me figure things out!
I used to cry but now I afraid if I start crying I won’t be able to stop and I WONT go back to the depressed state I used to be in ! I REFUSE!!! FMySCI!

After taking a shower and getting ready for work (which takes 3 times as long now), I was looking at my body in the mirror and I cant belive it’s me. I’m only 28; I want to be sexy and wear cute clothes again; I hate being refered to as the girl in the wheelchair. I am tired of the health issues that go with this (2 uti’s already this year one with a hospital stay). I am sick of being stared at! I hate being cold all of the time living in Florida. I want to go to the beach with my friends and feel sand between my toes! I want the old me back. FMySCI.

I hate sneezing. i just showered and now i sneezed. it made me leak on my just cleaned skin. screw it, i ain’t gonna shower again. just use a wipe and go. and feel yucky and dirty the rest of the day. FMySCI.

I bought a cute sundress last week and planned to wear it out last night. Unfortunately my circulation in my legs sucks so my feet and lower legs were swollen and almost purple. I had to wear compression stockings and pants to go out last night…..sexy! F***mySCI

Not SCI, but have a lot of friends who are… SCI isn’t just a struggle of life, it is a tightrope struggle of life… where anything that occurs can possibly have an adverse domino effect to health and well being.
